KIUP/KDGO, Durango, CO
That was roughly the order of vehicles that took me to the lovely and scenic
Four Corners region of New Mexico and Colorado (and Utah and Arizona) in April 2011. The plane got me as far as Las Vegas, the rental car brought us across Arizona, into central New Mexico and then up across the Colorado line, and then when we got to Durango, we had the ride of our lives on the magnificent
Durango and Silverton narrow-gauge scenic railroad.
Turns out our friend Chet LaPrice had been out that way a few years back and had submitted a few IDs to the Toppy collection; over the course of an overnight in Durango (and some timers that were running while we were on the train the next day), we picked up pretty much everything on the Colorado side of the Four Corners, and here it is for you to enjoy while you look at the pretty pictures over at Tower Site of the Week!
And if you'd like to enjoy the KDGO/KIUP picture next year, too, it's featured in Tower Site Calendar 2013, now shipping from the Fybush.com store...
