More baseball and HD2s
Lou's Cincy IDs gave me the perfect idea for a follow-up: last week, I had the chance to go to Syracuse for two Syracuse Chiefs games featuring Stephen Strasburg, who's being touted as the hottest rookie pitcher in decades. Despite a 99 mph fastball, he ended up with no decision in the first game and a loss in the second (but still a very impressive performance) - and while watching him pitch, I had my little Insignia HD portable with me, grabbing IDs from as many Syracuse HD2s as would cooperate.
(There were, as there always seem to be, a few HD2s and 3s that don't legal when I'm listening...)
And to round out the "Thruway Series," I'm putting up a few Buffalo HD2s from a trip with Bill Harms last fall, as well as as many Rochester HD2s as I could grab today.
What does it say about the state of commercial HD subchannels these days that at least one of those Rochester HD2s appears here only because I ended up calling a friend at the cluster in question to tell him his HD2 was off, and would he be so kind as to go kick the exciter to get it back on?
