They couldn't make the Final Four…
But we still have plenty of love for Syracuse here at Toppy, and not just because my dad and sister went there, either.
You can thank my sister, by the way, for graciously agreeing to transport a bunch of radios to Syracuse a few weeks ago to record some of the IDs heard here, chronicling a particularly turbulent time in the 'Cuse.
Among the new sounds today: Galaxy's new ESPN Radio outlet, WTLA 1200/WSGO 1440 and two new FM translators that make up "ESPN 97.7 & 100.1"; Citadel's ESPN-turned-Sporting News signal on 1260, with new calls WSKO ("The Score"); Citadel's new FM talker on 105.9, both with its old calls WLTI and new calls WXTL; the new simulcast on Leatherstocking's talkers WFBL 1390 and WMCR 1600 (and the move of oldies from WFBL back to WSEN 1050); a call change on Wolf Radio's "Movin" from WMVU to WMVN - and even a bit of DX, as we grab an ID from the new "ESPN Deportes" format on WSCP 1070 from here at NERW Central, with a promise to replace it with a better ID next time we're in the neighborhood.
