While Our Illustrious Founder and Mrs. Founder celebrate their first holidays in their new home, we here at Toppy Northeast are settling into the addition we added over the summer. And as we were picking out cabinetry for the new bathroom, your editor asked, as he’s wont to do, “where’s it made?”
The answer, as it turns out, is this week’s featured market: Waterloo, Iowa.
And just up the road in Cedar Falls (not to be confused, ever, with Cedar Rapids 60 miles to the southeast), something else nifty gets made: lots and lots of quality consulting engineering from Doug Vernier and his staff. Try out their free tool that tells you just how strong your local signals are. (Then record a bunch of ’em and send them in – think of it as a housewarming gift for Brian!)
Anyway, we’ve got a nearly-complete run of Waterloo IDs for you here, save for some bad reception on KCRR (97.7 Grundy Center) that obscured the top of the hour and about 15 minutes on either side. Lots of tower pictures, too, including the KXEL site and a 2000-foot TV tower, over at Tower Site of the Week!
A very merry Christmas, or wherever your celebrations may be taking you…and don’t forget to stop back next Wednesday as the Medium Trip lands us in Cedar Rapids (which is not to be mistaken for Cedar Falls 60 miles to the northwest…)
